Shanghai SIAL Wine World
In China they know how to do things big! The SIAL Wines World was set up in an enormous venue – the Shanghai International Expo Centre – encompassing 13 exhibition halls and some 150,340 M2 indoor exhibition space. SIAL Wines filled 2 halls with most of the Exhibitors being European and South African with only a small representation from Australia. It was such a pleasure to run into one of our customers – Joe Ceravolo from Ceravolo Premium Wines.
In Shanghai we also caught up with Tim Adams and had the opportunity to meet several of his China contacts, over lunch and drinks at the Mandarin Orientals Shanghai.
Tim’s wines are now available at this 6-star hotel in Shanghai. It was lovely to meet Mandarin Oriental’s Chief Sommelier, Tansy Zhao, who has won the Champion of China National Sommelier Competition 2014.
This young gentleman is very talented and has an exceptional palate. He gave a very positive non bias comment towards Tim’s Wine and we are looking forward to Tansy’s visit to Adelaide later this year.
